Apple Crisp
Apple Crisps provide the rich and nutty flavor of brown butter, combined with the sweetness of apples to create a heavenly treat
INGREDIENTS
Apple Filling:
6-8 med-sized apples (mix of sweet and tart varieties)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 tbsp lemon juice
Crisp Topping:
1 cup old-fashioned oats
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts (choice optional)
1/2 cup cannabutter
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Peel, core, and slice the apples into thin, even slices. In a large bowl, combine the apple slices, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour, and lemon juice. Toss until the apples are evenly coated.
In a separate bowl, mix together the oats, flour, brown sugar, salt, and chopped nuts. Pour the melted cannabutter over the dry ingredients and mix until the mixture forms crumbly clusters.
Grease a baking dish and spread the apple mixture evenly in the dish before sprinkling the crisp topping, covering the dish completely.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown, and the apples are tender.
Remove from the oven and let it cool before serving.
