Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs
Savor the sweet and savory perfection of Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs, where tender, juicy chicken is glazed in a rich honey garlic sauce
INGREDIENTS
• 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
• 3 tbsp cannabutter
• 4 cloves garlic, minced
• 1/4 cup honey
• 2 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
• 1 tsp fresh thyme (optional)
• Salt and pepper, to taste
• Fresh parsley or sesame seeds for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
Pat the chicken thighs dry with a paper towel and season both sides generously with salt and pepper. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large oven-safe skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of cannabutter over medium-high heat.
Place the chicken thighs skin-side down in the hot skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden brown. Flip and cook the other side for 3-4 minutes before transferring to a plate and setting aside.
Lower the heat to medium, and add the minced garlic along with 1 tablespoon of cannabutter to the skillet. Sauté the garlic for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Stir in the honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice). Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until it slightly thickens.
Add the chicken thighs back into the skillet, spooning the honey garlic sauce over the top before transaferring the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C).
Once the chicken is cooked through, remove it from the oven. Spoon more sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with fresh parsley or sesame seeds for added flavor and presentation.
Serve the chicken thighs hot with sides like rice or mashed potatoes.
TIPS
• Let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes after cooking to allow the juices to redistribute and enhance tenderness.
• Add a pinch of smoked paprika or cayenne for a subtle smoky or spicy kick that complements the cannabis infusion.
