Caramel Squares

INGREDIENTS
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 cup cannabutter, melted
• 1 cup light corn syrup
• 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• Cooking spray or parchment paper
INSTRUCTIONS
Line a 9x9 inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly coat it with cooking spray.
In a medium-sized saucepan, melt the cannabutter over medium heat until before stirring in both the granulated sugar and brown sugar. Pour in the light corn syrup and continue to stir until well combined.
Slowly pour in the sweetened condensed milk while stirring continuously until everything is evenly incorporated.
Increase the heat to medium-high and bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring frequently. Use a candy thermometer to monitor the temperature. Cook the mixture until it reaches 240°F (116°C),
Once the mixture reaches the desired temperature, remove the from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract until well mixed.
Carefully pour the hot caramel mixture into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
Allow the caramel to cool at room temperature for at least 2-3 hours, or until it's fully set and firm to the touch.
Once the caramel has cooled and set, use a sharp knife to cut it into squares of your desired size, before serving or storing for later.
